R.I.P. 今 敏「Kon Satoshi 」
On Tuesday August 24th 2010, the world's creative community grew a little smaller and dimmer. Anime director Satoshi Kon lost his battle against pancreatic cancer at the young age of 46. His career was short but more vibrant and many other careers spanning a life time.

I wanna take moment to share my experience with his creations. Even though he had released the more well known Perfect Blue and Tokyo God Fathers first, My first encounter with his work was Millennium Actress. The story of how the girl's passionate search for the painter had shaped her life and ending brought me to a fetal ball of mucus and tears on the side of the bed I was watching the movie from. That movie gets me every time. Now If you'll excuse me I'm going to pop Millennium actress into the PS3 and prepare myself with some hot soup and a box of tissues.
